Training and Classes from FAB Graphics and Consulting
Personalized Training
Are you looking for personalized training on your own computer in your own home? I will come to your home and teach YOU what YOU want to know. If it's a question about your machine and how it works or a program or an external device, I will help you get through it and understand what's going on. Mac or PC.
Mac OS X Hands On
Purchased a new Macintosh recently? Mac OS X comes standard
on your machine and is a new and different breed of operating system. Class
will look at OS X's new features as well as how to configure your computer
to work how you want to. This class is for Mac users thinking about upgrading
to OS X or have switched over. For first-time users as well as people who have
experience with OS X and have questions about your 'new' machine. Class is
taught hands on. If you have a laptop with OS X, please let us know and bring
it to class.
Personal Web Site
Now it is easier than ever to have your own Web site.
People are creating Web sites for personal and business use all the time - share
your photos, videos, recipes, life log or anything you wish, online! You don't
need to spend thousands of dollars or be a programmer to have a Web site. There
are free places to store Web pages, including space that comes with most Internet
access accounts. We will look at such space and tools to build Web sites in this
one-and-a-half hour lecture/demo presentation class.
Using iPhoto
Apple has made using digital photography on your computer easier with iPhoto.
This one-hour lecture/demo presentation will look at how to bring photos
in from a digital camera, organize and edit the photos, make prints, slide
shows and even professionally crafted books, all using iPhoto. Bring your
questions!
Using iTunes
Listening to music on your computer has never been easier. This one-hour lecture/demo
presentation will look at how to bring music in from CDs, the Internet or from
Apple's Online Music store and then make compellation CDs as well as mixing music
to play back on your computer. Bring your questions.
Exploring the Internet
The Internet has become part of most people’s
every-day life. This hands-on class will spend time looking at concepts and
skills needed to get the most out of your Internet experience. Topics include
choosing an Internet browser, finding information online, online shopping and
saving data for future use. The class is taught hands-on using Macs, but Windows
users will get just as much out of the class.
